Back to the beautiful and serene, and it looks like Thailand is full of surprises. With Koh Tao maybe pipping Phi Phi to the post for favourite place.
Mopeds should not be allowed there, and it would be fabulous. There aren’t many stores that we seen, however we did only spend the best part of 2 days there, so it was hard to see a lot of the island. But what I did see made me fall in love with such a peaceful life.
Our hotel – Royal Resort – exceeded my expectations. All bungalow style propped up high in the trees, it was magaical. I know my gorgeous niece would have adored it. With a hammock outside, it was heaven. Read about more on my accommodation post…
With a family run cafe downstairs, it’s safe to say the view was outstanding. 100% up there with Phi Phi – if not better. Watching the sunset from a well placed swing on the beach front was actually my favourite moment of this entire trip.
It is the definition of ‘chill’. Fire dancers on the beach front, and more party hotels towards the lively spot, I was happy to chill here with a drink in hand and watch the waves.
I was sad to say goodbye to Koh Tao. The serene atmosphere and lovely hotel staff has meant a little part of me will always be happiest watching that sunset.
