Liverpool Loves Business – what a fantastic networking event that broke the rules of the usual stuffy offices. Based in the Cunard Building, the networking opportunities provided were top notch. This was the first of the 3 in the Liverpool Loves Event of 2015.
After creating Liverpool Bloggers, it’s our thought to expand on the idea and offer the best and most professional services to our blogger community and businesses. Speaking with local businesses, we now understand that help and advice is out there – and people are happy to offer their expertise.
The day began with a bacon butty from Hardy’s Kitchen. These guys turned up in a VW Surfer Van (picture below!) offering some freebies, like the breakfast – and gorgeous menu for lunch and dinner. Great guys, who made a cracking lamb burger!!
So networking commenced with happy campers being fed and provided a hefty amount of coffee. Inspirational speakers, including the city Mayor, got the crowd going. We were all ready to share our contacts and create many opportunities.
We spoke with Click Consult, a firm from Cheshire. They had great advice for the website – so thank you Lee! We spoke with Anelise from Spark Up, who we hope to see on Thursday. And we spoke with LJMU Enterprise representative, Prof. David Gibson who i’m having a chat with this week also! These are just three of the lovely people i spoke with, and made me appreciate having attended the event. Plus, the free wine on offer of course!
Orb Events did amazingly well considering last minute changes to the venue due to the weather. They organised a host of seminars by people who had valuable advice to offer the networkers. I feel as though i left with a positive attitude, a motivated business concept and contacts that i would not have found if not visiting Liverpool Loves Business.
Even as a blogger, this event offered knowledge on social media, marketing, branding and more – that we think about each time we send out a tweet, or upload a photo.

Liverpool Loves Ireland: What an unexpectedly great night. This was the second of the 3 in the Liverpool Loves Event of 2015.
The big tent went downhill, leaving Orb Events with a smaller tent. It was packed – and i think it was the best thing to of happened.
With an older crowd, the night was jolly and alcohol fuelled to its best. At first, people finding there seats and listening to the music acts warm up wasn’t riveting. But once a few drinks went down, the singers started singing and dancers started jigging – it was all aboard the Ireland express.
Maggie May’s made the centre appearance selling many tubs of scouse and pies, all topped with beetroot and red cabbage. OOOOOO it was delicious! Artist after artist graced the stage, sharing their story and their words with the welcoming crowd.
The night became blanketed in a soft burnt orange as the sun began to set on the event. It was honestly one of the most beautiful sights i’ve came across – and i’ve been to a fair few places on this little word of ours. Ireland always offers a magical night, and this didn’t disappoint.
