The festival was an event filled with happiness and an atmosphere to triumph them all. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The city looked beautiful as ever, but it oozed excitement this day as the sun danced across the tent tops. With Morning Gloryville kicking off the fun in the main tent, it was all go-go-go from 8am!
People filtered in and out of the festival throughout the day with ease, enjoying the talented spectacles. Kids, family’s and even dogs came out to the pier to enjoy the city in all its glory.
Food, glorious food and THIS CITY knows how to serve up a treat. With so many independent vendors, it was a mind game deciding who to go with! I decided that Meet Frank was the top one – with a hot dog in hand and a cone of chips, i was HAPPY!
As I stayed for the entire event, my stomach ached for more delicious food. So a visit to Manepes Catering was in order. Oh, am i glad. Listen to this, a sweet cone as in an ice cream cone but better, spicy coleslaw, bow pulled pork and chilli jam all inside that delightful cone. Sounds strange? Well it was. Let me tell you now, it was top dollar and it always will be!
With so many things going on, it’s hard to put them all together. Dancers, artists, craft tents, silent discos, singers, bands, yoga – everything. I think it was such an amazing event becuase everyone seemed genuinely HAPPY. The sun was shining, the event was free, the day was awesome and everyone could feel vibes of excitement skirting around the grounds. With the Liver building peering over proudly, Liverpool Loves pulled off something that is truly hard to describe. Bottling up that atmosphere would be a recipe for a world of change.
I am super excited for next years event, and if i were a business – i’d get my bid in quick to be involved. Stalls ran out of food and sold out due to demand.
You go Liverpool! Awesome event..
