The Liverpool Bloggers Event has come and gone, and it was so good if we say so ourselves. Ten bloggers came down to Revolution St Peters Square in the City Centre to enjoy a night of networking, cocktails and review bags – what could be better!
Revolution St Peters Square was an awesome venue to get the bloggers together. After organising with Sammi, and being looked after by Megan – we were happy the event was so organised. We love a bit of organisation! We had The Slate Bar, located downstairs at the back of The Basement Club. If you haven’t visited it, you need to. A large booth was waiting for us, with a personal bar, barman and lots of space for us to set up the event.
Our barman was one top fella’. Michael – thank you! He took the group under his cocktail masterclass wing, and let loose with his skills behind the bar. Each of the bloggers had paid £20 for a ticket that went straight to Revolution. This paid for a cocktail masterclass worth £30 – a great deal! – And involved us getting some nibbles along with the drinks. Burgers, popcorn shrimp and more galore…
The drinks are something from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory gone hyperactive. Salted Caramel Cocktails, and cans of soup are what you can expect… well, Absolut Soup that went along the lines of a classic ‘Sex on the Beach’ but much cooler! The bloggers received a welcome drink and got to hop behind the bar a few times to get some personal tuition in the art of cocktail making. After shaking and stirring, we’re all pros!
We loved putting this event together, attempting to make it as personal as possible. So we created a Flower Power Wall that welcomed the bloggers to take snaps for their blog – along with a HUGE pink balloon that went down a treat. The famous Liverpool Bloggers Pink Balloon lives on! Balloons being our thing, we gave out candy floss jars and balloons for each individual blogger to take home and enjoy. Our networking idea involved Loving Business Cards that got everyone chatting; swapping their personal messages and encouraging their social media following. We all left with a string of personalised business cards that made us all warm and fuzzy… awhhh! Rounding up the evening, we introduced the coveted review bags that involved 4 fabulous brands, plus a few little presents from us…
Catch up with our next blog covering the brands involved!
