Liverpool’s Top 5 August Events 2015

We love events. And while we sort out our own and see who out of the fabulous Liverpool businesses want to get involved, we thought we’d go a little more in depth about a few of the events coming up in August that are looking great for the city of Liverpool. It’s looking like a packed month filled with amazing days out for family, kids, fashion lovers, music manics, beer drinkers and much, MUCH more. So here is a list of Liverpool’s Top 5 August Events.

Events can be used to full advantage by bloggers. These choices are big scale, and are always a perfect blog post setup. Pictures galore, meet ups with other bloggers and enough entertainment to out-type that word count.

St Lukes Church

THURSDAY 30TH JULY / SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST

BOMBED OUT CHURCH BEER FESTIVAL

With up to 200 real ales, ciders, lagers, continental beers and Liverpool Gin, added to food and live music – what more would you want? Sponsored by the Liverpool Organic Brewery, alcohol fanatics will love the city’s efforts in bringing local drinks to the table.

A ticket will allow you entry in to the event for a specific session booked, a souvenir half pint glass to take home and show off with, a souvenir colour programme to remember the day, and entertainment provided for the night.

Liverpool Loves

THURSDAY 6TH / SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST

LIVERPOOL LOVES FESTIVAL

New for 2015, this festival looks like it will be taking over the summer. Free to attend, there is something for everyone. Starting the Thursday, a free business networking day gives some character to the usual event, with the festivals launch party taking place afterwards. Friday welcomes the Irish fun, as Liverpool Loves Ireland comes to town with live music and real local ales, and a bar open until 11pm. The festival takes place on Saturday with Dj’s, singers, food, drink, circus acts, Chinese dragons and so much more i don’t even want to ruin the surprise! Just be there – it’s FREE, and the kids, friends, family will all love it!

Tequila and Mezcal Fest

SATURDAY 8TH / SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST

TEQUILA & MEZCAL FEST

A new one to Liverpool is this Mexican beast. Celebrating Mexico’s most popular spirits – Tequila and Mezcal. With food pairing, cocktail master classes, seminar and master classes by industry experts, superb live entertainment, live music with mariachi, Mexican art, photography exhibition, travel – it looks amazing. Not set to be the average way about things, you have to swap your pounds for pesos in order to buy food and drink cocktails. £5.00 will get you $50 Mexican pesos, with tokens available at the entrance. Fun stuff!

The Festival with Independent Liverpool

SATURDAY 22ND / SUNDAY 23RD AUGUST

THE FESTIVAL WITH INDEPENDENT LIVERPOOL

Not to be outdone, Independent Liverpool are taking things super local with a huge food and drink festival in a new and exciting venue in the Baltic Triangle. Favourite restaurants of the city; from The Card serving food, street food vendors, a gin garden, live DJs, whisky dens, craft beer corners, print workshops for kids, local arts & crafts stalls and local food producers selling their stuff. We’re excited already!

LIMF

THURSDAY 27TH / MONDAY 31ST AUGUST

LIVERPOOL INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL

Europe’s Biggest Free Festival. And you better be there. Taking up the end of August will be LIMF, with the free event taking place in the wild and wonderful Sefton Park. A whole host of music, alcohol allowed and fun times to maybe finish off your summer – it would be a catastrophe to miss.
