I’ve not had a subscription box before, but I love the idea of this one.

A monthly subscription box filled with sweet treats from independent producers – straight to your door.

The Treat Collective has the simple aim of creating excitement around the discovery of sweet treats from across the UK. By creating surprise boxes with with sugary gifts, they want to reconnect people who enjoy eating treats with the people who make them.

Supporting small businesses is a big part of why I blog. I love to see a success story. And when that comes in the form of sugar, it makes life so much better.

What I love is The Treat Collective’s mandatory criteria.

In the words of Jo and her Treat Team…. “They must be…

  • DELICIOUS – each product has been tried and tasted by our team, a tough job I know but someone has to do it. Once it has been approved, then and only then will it make it into one of our boxes.
  • INDEPENDENT – this means that all our producers use small processes to make their treats. Typically producing small batches using quality ingredients, prioritising quality over quantity and flavour over shelf life.
  • MADE IN THE UK – Every product that goes into our boxes are made here. We source the best treats from all corners of the United Kingdom to give you a real selection of the tastiest and most creative around.”

How great is that.

Featured in my Treat Collective Box:

Pecan Pie Popcorn from The Popcorn Shed
Peach Bellini Bubbles from Holly’s Lollies
Blueberry Marshmallow from Mallo Pantry
Ginger Beer Chocolate from Creighton’s Chocolaterie
Peanut Butter Honeycomb from Mighty Fine Honeycomb

My favourite… I think was the Blueberry Marshmallow – that’s closely followed by everything else!
My boyfriend’s favourite… Ginger Beer Chocolate. My Mum’s favourite… Peanut Butter Honeycomb.

Thank you Jo and your team for sharing this with me. You’ve created a little box of joy that puts a smile on people’s faces. From maker, to receiver.
